Why Moms Love Math?

We are often asked about the origin of our name. Why Moms Love Math? Why not Dads Love Math or Parents Love Math?

Moms Love Math is created for parents, grandparents, tutors, babysitters or anyone else who helps with math homework. Our name is not meant to leave anybody out - we're happy to help anyone who is sitting down to do math homework with a child. But we acknowledge the fact that, more often than not, mom is the one helping with homework afters school. More importantly, mom is the one who is most likely to pass on math anxiety.

Stereotypes dictate that moms and their daughters are more likely to feel inadequate when it comes to math. Math anxious moms are more likely to create math anxious children, creating a perpetual cycle of math negativity. Our goal at Moms Love Math is to eliminate parent math anxiety and help parents create a positive math environment at home. While we are here for all parents, we recognize the important role that moms play. Our vision is a world where everyone loves math!
